Opportunities for young tourism professionals

Serena Hoermann, eBoatCharters.com, has been added to the slate of board nominees for the Skål International Fort Lauderdale-Palm Beach Club (founded in 1977). Her first initiative will be to work with a new group, Young Skål, the first in the USA. Young Skål will allow tourism professionals in entry level and sales positions to network with and be mentored by management level industry professionals. "Doing Business among friends" is the motto. The values of Skål are friendship, peace, solidarity and promoting common, local and international interests in the tourism industry.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going on adventure travel

eBoatCharters.com is pleased to announce its partnership with Adventure Central (AC), the Denver-based  online adventure travel distribution company. "They sought us out," says Serena Hoermann, founder of eBoatCharters.com, "as a natural fit to their existing palette of excursions. We were thrilled to join the Adventure Central family!"

Fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale and Key West can be booked online at the AC portal. More fishing and sailing charters throughout Florida will soon be available there as well.  Read the press release

Meet Jo, a welcome addition to the eBoatCharters.com staff, working from her location on the west coast of Florida as part of our sales efforts. Jo joins us after years of experience in sales for the Walt Disney Company. Previously, she owned and helped operate several small businesses. She has raised four children and in her free time she enjoys sewing and spoiling her grandchildren. Jo has been traveling around Florida, getting familiar with our fleet of fishing charter boats, sailboats and yachts available for charter. Olympic sailor from Florida faces challenges in China

With the start of the 2008 Olympic Games looming closer, we're hoping the Olympic Sailing Teams will have clear waters for their events. Clean up efforts of an algae bloom on the coastline of Qingdao, China have had to be repeated as the choking green algae has returned to the area. Local Florida sailing hero Zach Railey will be competing there.

Jail, not Sail for a Cure for Breast Cancer

At eBoatCharters.com we know there are many great ways to raise money for a cure for breast cancer. Here's Serena in jail at NAWBO National Conference in Phoenix to raise money for the cure. The booth was sponsored by Maximum Business Advantage and 3 Day Walk. After posting bail, Serena was released to continue networking and visiting with other corporate sponsors and vendors at this motivational conference last week.

Just back from NAWBO National Conference in Phoenix

800 Women Business Owners were networking in Phoenix at the annual National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Conference last week.
