In the early 70's, I and every other little girl I knew wanted to be Jeannie or Bewitched.*
I was too young to have a crush on Major Nelson.
As my magical powers failed to appear, I studied computer science. Growing up in Florida, career choices were limited, but maybe NASA would offer me a job. Employment opportunities rode the roller coaster at the Cape and today is no different. I dragged the kids and hubby to the Kennedy Space Center this Thanksgiving weekend, and a part of me wishes I had applied for a job sending men to the moon and beyond. So I live out my fantasies writing Finn's Rocket.
*I had an advantage, because Samantha's evil cousin was named Serena! Serena's in fiction are almost always bad girls, but that's the subject of another blog post.
